Timeline & Era
In the world of Lord of Mysteries, the original civilization of Earth was destroyed in the distant past. From its ruins, humanity rebuilt civilization across five new epochs, each carrying traces of forgotten history and hidden mysteries.
The main story takes place during the Fifth Epoch, an era inspired by the Industrial Revolution and Victorian society.
This period is characterized by:
- Rapid technological development
- Steam-powered machinery
- Expanding industrial cities
- Victorian-style fashion and social structures
- The coexistence of scientific advancement and occult traditions
Although humanity continues to progress, ancient forces remain hidden beneath the surface of civilization.

These unseen worlds influence the balance of power and the mysteries surrounding humanity.
The Beyonder System: A Path Beyond Humanity
At the center of the supernatural world is the Beyonder System.
Unlike traditional magic systems, extraordinary powers in Lord of Mysteries follow a structured progression based on mystical pathways and Sequences.
Those who gain extraordinary abilities are known as Beyonders.
By consuming special potions and advancing through their chosen pathway, Beyonders gradually obtain greater powers.
The progression follows:
Sequence 9 → Sequence 0
As the Sequence number decreases, the Beyonder approaches a higher level of existence.
However, power comes with risks. Beyonders must understand their pathway and adapt to its characteristics in order to maintain control over the abilities they possess.
The 22 Beyonder Pathways
The world contains 22 unique Beyonder Pathways, each representing a different route toward extraordinary power.
Every pathway has its own:
- Sequence system
